MDRT considers the safety of our members its top priority. Therefore, MDRT is following guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to host an in-person event that is safe for all in attendance — which includes limiting the capacity of the in-person gathering.  The meeting at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, will allow for a limited number of attendees to participate. Registration is open to approved 2021 Top of the Table members only.

MDRT encourages all meeting participants to be vaccinated.  However, either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be accepted for in-person attendance.  MDRT respects your personal choices and is committed to the well-being of all Top of the Table Annual Meeting participants.   See the Health and Safety section for complete details.

Top of the Table members may register one guest. Although there is no additional fee, guest information must be included at the time of registration. A guest is defined as a spouse, significant other or child over the age of 21. Parents, business associates or friends of the attendee may not attend as a guest. Guest registration is limited to one per member. Please note that Top of the Table members are not considered guests. Policy dictates that all Top of the Table members must pay the full member registration fee in order to attend the meeting.

In an effort to accommodate as many Top of the Table members in Main Platform as possible while maintaining social distancing, Main Platform seating will be limited to Top of the Table members only.  Registered guests are welcome to attend social functions but may only view streamed Main Platform presentations from an ancillary meeting room. Focus Sessions will not be available for guests on site.

In addition to attending the Top of the Table Annual Meeting, your registration fee also includes access to robust on-demand content that is viewable at your convenience October 23 to November 23, 2021. You can:
    1. Explore sessions on the topics that interest you
    2. Revisit content from the gathering in Amelia Island

    Health and Safety

    Subject to change.
MDRT is monitoring the health and safety protocols provided by international, federal, state and local governments and agencies as they relate to COVID-19.  All Top of the Table members and their guests, speakers, meeting vendors and MDRT staff participating in the meeting must be fully vaccinated or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test that has been administered upon individual’s arrival in Amelia Island (Jacksonville), Florida no more than 72 hours prior to badge pick-up at the Top of the Table Registration Desk.  “Fully vaccinated” means that an individual has received the second dose of a two-dose vaccine series (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca-SK Bio, Sinopharm or Serum Institute of India) or a single dose vaccine from Johnson & Johnson/Janssen) by September 20, 2021.   Only the vaccines noted above, which have been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) for emergency use, shall be acceptable to meet the fully vaccinated requirement.   MDRT will also be limiting the capacity of the in-person gathering to maintain safe social distancing.

MDRT has retained the services of Safe Expo, a health care consultant, to oversee the health and safety procedures for the meeting, including COVID-19 vaccine verification.  Here’s what we are doing to protect your health and peace of mind so you can enjoy the meeting and each other.

    All Participants

(includes members and their guests, speakers, meeting vendors and MDRT staff)
    • Must sign the COVID-19 Waiver at time of registration.
    • Regardless of vaccination status, must go through daily health screening and temperature checks. Vaccination status may be visible on the participant’s badge.
    • Adhere to safety protocols that will be established for the in-person meeting including but not limited to:  social distancing at sessions and social events, mask wearing and use of hand sanitizer stations.
    Fully Vaccinated Participants

Fully vaccinated participants simply upload their proof of vaccination documents to the Safe Expo secure portal no later than September 27, 2021, for verification by Safe Expo.  All digital uploads are deleted at the time of review and are not stored long term on the Safe Expo secure server.  The link to the Safe Expo secure portal will be included in your meeting registration confirmation email.  After your vaccination documentation has been verified by Safe Expo, you will receive an approval email directly from Safe Expo with your vaccine verification.  You will then present your vaccine verification at the Safe Expo screening station located in the Top of the Table registration area at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.
    Non-Vaccinated Participants
Non-vaccinated participants must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test that has been administered upon their arrival in Amelia Island (Jacksonville), Florida, no more than 72 hours prior to badge pick-up at the Top of the Table Registration Desk. You will present your negative test results at the Safe Expo screening station located in the Top of the Table registration area at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.
COVID-19 tests must be administered by a medical provider in Amelia Island (Jacksonville) that can provide a final test result report.  The cost of testing is the participant’s responsibility.

For your convenience, you may choose to have Safe Expo administer your COVID-19 test on-site at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. There are two different options, the rapid antigen test gives results in 15 minutes (cost USD 50), and the rapid PCR test gives results in 30 minutes (cost USD 150). The cost of on-site testing will be the participant’s responsibility, and payment will be due when the test is administered.
This is a very fluid time, and it is important that we all understand that health and safety protocols may change based on local, national and global circumstances.  MDRT is committed to communication and will make every effort to keep meeting participants informed of such occurrences.

Learn more about Marriott’s Commitment to Clean and what to expect at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.  If you have questions regarding your health and safety at the Top of the Table Annual Meeting, please email tot@mdrt.org
